OK I will admit this is not a usually topic for me but I just had to say something.

I was on my way into Philadelphia today and reading the metro (actually Tuesday's Metro) that great free newspaper that you get at Septa transit stops and they had a blurb about Bert and Ernie, from Sesame Street, coming out on Twitter 1. Sesame Street is a children's show. 2 They are puppets not people. 3. Sesame Street is in New York City 4. Bert and Ernie are unemployed. The fact is they are two unemployed people sharing a one room Studio in the most expensive city in the USA. I think CTW is correct in stating "they are an Odd Coupleesque pairing showing that friendships can transcend differences" When I was in College I lived for 4 years in a campus dorm or apartment where I shared a bedroom with another student of the same gender. I think I never thought Bert and Ernie were odd when I was a child because children do not think like that and Bert and Ernie Lived the way most college students live. We truly know nothing of Bert and Ernie's situation beyond what is presented to us during Sesame Street
and we can not jump to conclusions. After all they are pure fiction created by TV.
Endorsements:

When you read all of the information from all of the candidates and wade through the muck and mire of all of the interest groups you can only come to one conclusion you will get lower taxes if you vote for the Republicans because you will lose your job. As most taxes on the state and federal level are income based a lose of income will result in lower taxes. So this year it is my honor to endorse the only candidate for Governor of Pennsylvania who has created jobs and not policies that send jobs over seas. I endorse Dan Onorato. Tom Corbett has been a republican rock star in PA but during his first stint as Attorney General he promised he would not run for Attorney General 8 years later he breaks his promise and runs to be the elected attorney general we can not afford to have a governor who will break his promises so easily. Side note Tom Corbett caused a sign to be placed on my property without my permission and failed to remove it, any candidate who disrespects private property rights is not deserving of my vote.

U.S. Senate:
The choice is between Republican, club-for-growth, tea party, John Birch society Pat Toomey, a native of Rhode Island, who has said he would be another Rick Santorum I guess that means he will support the republican agenda that caused the current economic crisis, I also guess it means he will live in Virginia just like Rick did during his 12 disastrous years in the U.S. Senate. I endorse Pennsylvania native Admiral Joe Sestak Currently the Congressman from the 7th District. During his 3.5 years in office he has proven to be a middle of the road politician supporting our environment, working to improve our system of Health insurance for the better. While Pat Toomey spent 6 years in the house supporting policies that led our country in to the worst economic down turn since the great depression Joe Sestak has constantly worked to improve our community and our State. While Pat has a no pork pledge that really sounds neat o. What it really means is that our communities will get no help which in turn means higher property taxes. While other states will get the money that Pennsylvania would reject. Joe Sestak has a proven record of policies that would improve Pennsylvania. Pat Toomey has a record of failure. So the choice is clear vote Pat Toomey if you want higher property taxes and no job. That is why I endorse Joe Sestak the only Candidate for United States Senator for Pennsylvania that understands the economic mess we are in and how to get us out. Side note Pat Toomey caused a sign to be placed on my property without my permission and failed to remove it, any candidate who disrespects private property rights is not deserving of my vote.
United States House of Representatives PA 7 this is the seat currently held by Joe Sestak. Pat Meehan former Del-co District Attorney and Former US Attorney for the Eastern District of PA and local GOP Superstar has offered only embarrassment during his campaign making false accusation after false accusation against his opponent Bryan Lentz. Lets hear some truth about this race. A County District Attorney is primarily an Administrator and Pat Meehan was a great administrator he was so good at his job that he never needed to take a case to trial he had his ADAs to do that for him. As U.S. Attorney he rooted out corruption in Democratic controlled Philadelphia but failed to root out corruption in Republican controlled Delaware County. every time he had an Opportunity to accuse a Democrat he did so but he was oblivious to the corruption in his own party. We can't afford that partisan attitude in this country any more. Bryan Lentz in his 4 years as State Rep from Swarthmore has shown that he has the collegial aptitude to be a great representative I endorse Bryan Lentz in his quest to be the next Congressman from the 7th District. Side note Pat Meehan caused a sign to be placed on my property without my permission and failed to remove it, any candidate who disrespects private property rights is not deserving of my vote.

State Representative for the 168th General Assembly of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania has been held by Middletown Township resident Tom Killion since July 2003 He has been a nice guy and has served our district well. his Opponent, Gail Connor is an Environmental Law Attorney from Edgemont Township who organized and ran successfully a write-in campaign for the Primary Election. Gail Connor has the ideals and moral values to be a great State Representative. It is time for Tom Killion to gracefully retire. My endorsement is for Gail Connor and Pennsylvania's bright future.

Democratic Primary endorsements

Middletown Township

Township Council: The democrats do not have a primary for the 2 at large council seats how ever it is very important that if you live in Middletown first district and are a democrat that you write in Michael A. Kane for township council there will be pens and instructions on how to do so.

The democrats do not have candidates running for auditor or the 3rd district.

At large Don Dix and Bill Belanger are able candidates and are very familiar with the issues.

County Council there are 6 candidates running for 3 open seats all of them would make the best county council persons Delaware county has ever seen since the adoption of home rule.

Common Pleas Court

Frank Daly and Michael T. Farrell

Superior Court

Jimmy Lynn and John Milton Younge though any of these capable attorneys or judges would make an excellent addition to the Superior Court.

Supreme Court

Seamus McCaffery and Debra Todd are endorsed.

Good night and do not forget to vote on Tuesday.
On Tuesday May 15 2007 is primary election day in Pennsylvania
here are my endorsements.

Republicans:
State Wide Court elections I choose not to endorse any of the candidates as I was unable to learn anything about the candidates.

Delaware County Court of Common Pleas I urge all Republicans to vote for Frank Daly as he is by far the most qualified candidate running for this seat he has been nominated by Governor Rendell to fill the seat of retiring Judge Harry Bradley I pray senate majority leader will not hold up this nomination.
There are 2 seats available and I feel Richard Capelli will make a fine addition to the republican ticket.

Delaware County Council

there are 6 candidates running for three seats 2 of these candidates are to close to corruption and problems stemming from a former state run facility. Two other candidates are two close to the machine and current county council chairman and the machine in general. Rick Lacey has been a tireless fighter against the machine has the ideas and convictions to be one of the best republicans ever elected to county council. Rose Izzo will also make a fine addition to the republican ticket.

Rose Tree Media School District does not have a contested primary and no endorsements have been made.

Middletown Township does not have a contested primary so no endorsements have been made.

Coming later the Democratic party primary endorsements.
