This is the week in review covering the August 7 - 16: there has been a lot of activity in the past weeks and I have decided to review the this period in a cheers and jeers format.

Politics:

Cheers to Ned Lamont for a hard fought victory in the democratic party primary in the state of Connecticut
Jeers to Joe Lieberman and his hair brain scheme to run as an independent. Joe I know you won't read this but we are working hard in Pennsylvania to elect Bob Casey and help deliver a Democratic Senate Senate Majority you run without party support will only cause a republican to be elected in November. Remember how Lowell Wiekert got elected.
Jeers to Veep Cheney for calling or alluding that Ned Lamont is the al-queda candidate. American know better the war in Iraq is nothing more than a civil war that has nothing to do with the attacks our country endured on 09-11-2001 it is time to with draw our children and get them home to their families and allow the government in Iraq to govern and quell the civil war or fail on its own.
the war on terrorism has been an utter failure it is time to end the failing republican policies and return to the successful policies of the democratic party. I am reminded of the WTC bombings in 1993 where we caught tried convicted and jailed all of the conspirators. Republicans and 9/11 no captures, no trials, no convictions, Unless you count Moussaoui and even he probably wasn't involved.

Cheers to Jack Carter for his primary win good luck against senator ensign.

Jeers to the DSCC for not helping out Jack.

Cheers to Mi-5 in breaking up a potential terrorist attack.

Jeers to the TSA and the Dept of homeland Security for deciding it is easier to treat all Americans like criminals, than actively seeking out terrorists. TSA should realize that we aren't all Macgyvers. Hey TSA and DHS try the Israelis Screening method it works. Next thing banned on flights will be clothes. Of course this will make my fall vacation that much more annoying.

Cheers to Northwest Airlines for making online seat selection so easy, and having great telephone customer service to further assist its passengers.
